महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-22, verse-19

संहारे सर्वतो जाते पृथिव्यां शोकसंभवे ।
बह्वीनामुत्तमस्त्रीणां सीमन्तोद्धरणे तथा ॥१९॥
19. saṁhāre sarvato jāte pṛthivyāṁ śokasaṁbhave ,
bahvīnāmuttamastrīṇāṁ sīmantoddharaṇe tathā.

19. When widespread destruction, causing great sorrow, occurred everywhere on earth, and similarly, when the hair-partings of many excellent women were dishevelled (a sign of widowhood).
