महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-50, verse-65

एतच्च सर्ववीराणां काङ्क्षितं भरतर्षभ ।
संग्रामेऽभिमुखा मृत्युं प्रप्नुयामेति मानद ॥६५॥
65. etacca sarvavīrāṇāṁ kāṅkṣitaṁ bharatarṣabha ,
saṁgrāme'bhimukhā mṛtyuṁ prapnuyāmeti mānada.
65. etat ca sarvavīrāṇām kāṅkṣitam bharatarṣabha
saṃgrāme abhimukhāḥ mṛtyum prāpnuyāma iti mānada
65. bharatarṣabha mānada etat ca sarvavīrāṇām
kāṅkṣitam saṃgrāme abhimukhāḥ mṛtyum prāpnuyāma iti
65. And this, O best of Bharatas, is desired by all heroes, "May we attain death while facing it in battle," O giver of honor.
