महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-50, verse-44

एवं विलप्य बहुधा भिन्नपोतो वणिग्यथा ।
दुःखेन महताविष्टो युधिष्ठिरमपृच्छत ॥४४॥
44. evaṁ vilapya bahudhā bhinnapoto vaṇigyathā ,
duḥkhena mahatāviṣṭo yudhiṣṭhiramapṛcchata.
44. evam vilapya bahudhā bhinna-potaḥ vaṇik yathā
duḥkhena mahatā āviṣṭaḥ yudhiṣṭhiram apṛcchata
44. yathā bhinna-potaḥ vaṇik evam bahudhā vilapya,
mahatā duḥkhena āviṣṭaḥ yudhiṣṭhiram apṛcchata
44. Just as a merchant whose ship is broken laments in many ways, so he, overcome by great sorrow, questioned Yudhiṣṭhira.
