महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-134, verse-5

अश्वत्थामोवाच ।
तवैतत्क्षम्यतेऽस्माभिः सूतात्मज सुदुर्मते ।
दर्पमुत्सिक्तमेतत्ते फल्गुनो नाशयिष्यति ॥५॥
5. aśvatthāmovāca ,
tavaitatkṣamyate'smābhiḥ sūtātmaja sudurmate ,
darpamutsiktametatte phalguno nāśayiṣyati.
5. Aśvatthāmā uvāca tava etat kṣamyate asmābhiḥ sūtātmaja
sudurmate darpam utsiktam etat te phalgunaḥ nāśayiṣyati
5. Aśvatthāmā uvāca sūtātmaja sudurmate tava etat asmābhiḥ
kṣamyate etat utsiktam darpam te phalgunaḥ nāśayiṣyati
5. Aśvatthāmā said: "O son of a charioteer, you who are exceedingly evil-minded, this behavior of yours is tolerated by us for now, but Arjuna will surely destroy this inflated pride of yours."
