महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-134, verse-20

ततस्तु शरवर्षेण पार्थिवास्तमवारयन् ।
धनूंषि ते विधुन्वानाः शतशोऽथ सहस्रशः ।
अयोधयन्त राधेयं शक्रं दैत्यगणा इव ॥२०॥
20. tatastu śaravarṣeṇa pārthivāstamavārayan ,
dhanūṁṣi te vidhunvānāḥ śataśo'tha sahasraśaḥ ,
ayodhayanta rādheyaṁ śakraṁ daityagaṇā iva.
20. tatas tu śaravarṣeṇa pārthivāḥ tam
avārayan dhanūṃṣi te vidhunvānāḥ
śataśaḥ atha sahasraśaḥ ayodhayanta
rādheyam śakram daityagaṇāḥ iva

20. Then, indeed, the kings, by hundreds and by thousands, shaking their bows, obstructed him (Karṇa) with a shower of arrows. They fought Karṇa (Rādheya) just as hosts of demons fight Indra (Śakra).
