महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-43, verse-4

तलत्राभिहताश्चैव ज्याशब्दा भरतर्षभ ।
पत्तीनां पादशब्दाश्च वाजिनां च महास्वनाः ॥४॥
4. talatrābhihatāścaiva jyāśabdā bharatarṣabha ,
pattīnāṁ pādaśabdāśca vājināṁ ca mahāsvanāḥ.

4. O best of the Bhāratas (bharatarṣabha), there were also the sounds of bowstrings struck by palm-protectors, and the sounds of the footsteps of the infantry, and the great sounds of the horses.
