महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-43, verse-28

ततो मद्रेश्वरं राजा शरैः संनतपर्वभिः ।
छादयामास संक्रुद्धस्तिष्ठ तिष्ठेति चाब्रवीत् ॥२८॥
28. tato madreśvaraṁ rājā śaraiḥ saṁnataparvabhiḥ ,
chādayāmāsa saṁkruddhastiṣṭha tiṣṭheti cābravīt.

chādayāmāsa saṃkruddhaḥ tiṣṭha tiṣṭha iti ca abravīt
28. tataḥ saṃkruddhaḥ rājā sannataparvabhiḥ śaraiḥ
madreśvaram chādayāmāsa ca tiṣṭha tiṣṭha iti abravīt
28. Then, the king, greatly enraged, overwhelmed the lord of Madras with well-jointed arrows and exclaimed, 'Stop! Stop!'
