महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-155, verse-58

कर्णिकारान्विरचितान्कर्णपूरानिवोत्तमान् ।
अथापश्यन्कुरबकान्वनराजिषु पुष्पितान् ।
कामवश्योत्सुककरान्कामस्येव शरोत्करान् ॥५८॥
58. karṇikārānviracitānkarṇapūrānivottamān ,
athāpaśyankurabakānvanarājiṣu puṣpitān ,
kāmavaśyotsukakarānkāmasyeva śarotkarān.
58. karṇikārān viracitān karṇapūrān
iva uttamān atha apaśyan kurabakān
vanarājiṣu puṣpitān
kāmavaśyotsukakarān kāmasya iva śarotkarān
58. Then they saw karṇikāra trees, which appeared like exquisite ear ornaments beautifully arranged. They also saw kurabaka trees blooming in the forest groves, which, like heaps of arrows of the god of love (Kāma), made one eager and captivated by love's influence.
