30.
O Bhārata, they showed no affection nor compassion towards living beings. Disregarding the three (traditional) expedients (conciliation, gifts, and division), they restrained the people (prajāḥ) with force. And the foremost among the Asuras, out of pride, did not come to an understanding with them.
