वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-48, verse-9

स चाप्रतिमगम्भीरो देवदानवदर्पहा ।
ब्रह्मशापाभिभूतस्तु कुम्भकर्णो विबोध्यताम् ॥९॥
9. sa cāpratimagambhīro devadānavadarpahā ,
brahmaśāpābhibhūtastu kumbhakarṇo vibodhyatām.
9. saḥ ca apratimagambhīraḥ devadānavadarpahā
brahmaśāpābhibhūtaḥ tu kumbhakarṇaḥ vibodhyatām
9. And let Kumbhakarna be awakened, he who is of unequalled profundity, the destroyer of the pride of gods and demons, but who is (now) overcome by a brahmin's curse.
