वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-48, verse-79

कुम्भकर्णस्तु दुर्धर्षो भ्रातुराज्ञाय शासनम् ।
तथेत्युक्त्वा महावीर्यः शयनादुत्पपात ह ॥७९॥
79. kumbhakarṇastu durdharṣo bhrāturājñāya śāsanam ,
tathetyuktvā mahāvīryaḥ śayanādutpapāta ha.
79. कुम्भकर्णः तु दुर्धर्षः भ्रातुः आज्ञाय शासनम्
तथा इति उक्त्वा महावीर्यः शयनात् उत्पपात ह
79. दुर्धर्षः महावीर्यः कुम्भकर्णः तु भ्रातुः

79. The mighty and unassailable Kumbhakarṇa, upon understanding his brother's command, said "So be it" and rose from his bed.
