महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-92, verse-5

अर्थहेतोर्नरश्रेष्ठ क्रियते कर्म कुत्सितम् ।
धिगर्थान्यत्कृते ह्येवं क्रियते ज्ञातिसंक्षयः ॥५॥
5. arthahetornaraśreṣṭha kriyate karma kutsitam ,
dhigarthānyatkṛte hyevaṁ kriyate jñātisaṁkṣayaḥ.

arthān yat kṛte hi evam kriyate jñātisaṃkṣayaḥ

5. O best of men, a despicable act is committed for the sake of material gain. Fie upon wealth, for the sake of which such a destruction of relatives is brought about.
