By these qualities of action (karma), the name of Agni is celebrated in the world as 'Hiraṇyaretas' (Golden-seeded) by the sages (ṛṣis) and the wise (gods). And then, the goddess Earth (pṛthivī) was known as Vasumatī (Rich in treasures).
