महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-84, verse-28

तं स संयुज्य शापेन मण्डूकं पावको ययौ ।
अन्यत्र वासाय विभुर्न च देवानदर्शयत् ॥२८॥
28. taṁ sa saṁyujya śāpena maṇḍūkaṁ pāvako yayau ,
anyatra vāsāya vibhurna ca devānadarśayat.

anyatra vāsāya vibhuḥ na ca devān adarśayat
28. saḥ pāvakaḥ tam maṇḍūkam śāpena saṃyujya vāsāya

28. Having inflicted that curse upon the frog, Agni (pāvaka) went elsewhere to reside. The powerful (vibhu) one did not reveal himself to the gods.
