महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-84, verse-5

देवा ऊचुः ।
वरदानाद्भगवतो दैतेयो बलगर्वितः ।
देवैर्न शक्यते हन्तुं स कथं प्रशमं व्रजेत् ॥५॥
5. devā ūcuḥ ,
varadānādbhagavato daiteyo balagarvitaḥ ,
devairna śakyate hantuṁ sa kathaṁ praśamaṁ vrajet.

devaiḥ na śakyate hantum saḥ katham praśamam vrajet

5. The gods said: "Due to the boon granted by the revered (Bhagavat), the demon (Daiteya) is arrogant with power. He cannot be killed by the gods; how then can he be brought to an end?"
