महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-84, verse-54

तेजसा तस्य गर्भस्य गङ्गा विह्वलचेतना ।
संतापमगमत्तीव्रं सा सोढुं न शशाक ह ॥५४॥
54. tejasā tasya garbhasya gaṅgā vihvalacetanā ,
saṁtāpamagamattīvraṁ sā soḍhuṁ na śaśāka ha.

saṃtāpam agamat tīvram sā soḍhum na śaśāka ha
54. Due to the intense radiance of that embryo, Gaṅgā became distressed in mind. She experienced severe anguish and was indeed unable to endure it.
