57. sā tu tejaḥparītāṅgī kampamānā ca jāhnavī ,
uvāca vacanaṁ vipra tadā garbhabaloddhatā ,
na te śaktāsmi bhagavaṁstejaso'sya vidhāraṇe.

But then, Jāhnavī (Gaṅgā), her body permeated by the effulgence, trembling and overcome by the embryo's power, spoke these words: 'O Brahmin (vipra)! O Lord (bhagavan)! I am not capable of holding this effulgence (tejas) within me on your behalf.'
