महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-84, verse-4

वेदा धर्माश्च नोत्सादं गच्छेयुः सुरसत्तमाः ।
विहितं पूर्वमेवात्र मया वै व्येतु वो ज्वरः ॥४॥
4. vedā dharmāśca notsādaṁ gaccheyuḥ surasattamāḥ ,
vihitaṁ pūrvamevātra mayā vai vyetu vo jvaraḥ.
4. vedāḥ dharmāḥ ca na utsādam gaccheyuḥ surasattamāḥ
vihitam pūrvam eva atra mayā vai vyetu vaḥ jvaraḥ
4. surasattamāḥ vedāḥ ca dharmāḥ utsādam na gaccheyuḥ
atra pūrvam eva mayā vai vihitam vaḥ jvaraḥ vyetu
4. O best of gods, the Vedas and the natural laws (dharma) must not perish! This has indeed been ordained by me beforehand. Let your anxiety depart.
