महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-84, verse-48

देवा ऊचुः ।
असुरस्तारको नाम ब्रह्मणो वरदर्पितः ।
अस्मान्प्रबाधते वीर्याद्वधस्तस्य विधीयताम् ॥४८॥
48. devā ūcuḥ ,
asurastārako nāma brahmaṇo varadarpitaḥ ,
asmānprabādhate vīryādvadhastasya vidhīyatām.
48. devāḥ ūcuḥ asuraḥ tārakaḥ nāma brahmaṇaḥ vara-darpitaḥ
asmān prabādhate vīryāt vadhaḥ tasya vidhīyatām
48. devāḥ ūcuḥ.
tārakaḥ nāma asuraḥ brahmaṇaḥ varadarpitaḥ asmān vīryāt prabādhate.
tasya vadhaḥ vidhīyatām.
48. The gods said: "An asura (asura) named Tāraka, made arrogant by a boon from Brahmā, harasses us with his power. Let his death be brought about."
