महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-213, verse-64

जन्मप्रभृति कृष्णश्च चक्रे तस्य क्रियाः शुभाः ।
स चापि ववृधे बालः शुक्लपक्षे यथा शशी ॥६४॥
64. janmaprabhṛti kṛṣṇaśca cakre tasya kriyāḥ śubhāḥ ,
sa cāpi vavṛdhe bālaḥ śuklapakṣe yathā śaśī.
64. janmaprabhṛti kṛṣṇaḥ ca cakre tasya kriyāḥ śubhāḥ
sa ca api vavṛdhe bālaḥ śuklapakṣe yathā śaśī
64. And from his birth (janmaprabhṛti), Kṛṣṇa performed his auspicious rites. That child (Abhimanyu) also grew up, just as the moon (śaśī) waxes during the bright fortnight (śuklapakṣe).
