महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-213, verse-1

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
उक्तवन्तो यदा वाक्यमसकृत्सर्ववृष्णयः ।
ततोऽब्रवीद्वासुदेवो वाक्यं धर्मार्थसंहितम् ॥१॥
1. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
uktavanto yadā vākyamasakṛtsarvavṛṣṇayaḥ ,
tato'bravīdvāsudevo vākyaṁ dharmārthasaṁhitam.

1. Vaiśaṃpāyana said: When all the Vṛṣṇis had spoken their words repeatedly, Vāsudeva then delivered a statement that was in accordance with natural law (dharma) and purpose (artha).
