महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-213, verse-39

गुरुवत्पूजयामास कांश्चित्कांश्चिद्वयस्यवत् ।
कांश्चिदभ्यवदत्प्रेम्णा कैश्चिदप्यभिवादितः ॥३९॥
39. guruvatpūjayāmāsa kāṁścitkāṁścidvayasyavat ,
kāṁścidabhyavadatpremṇā kaiścidapyabhivāditaḥ.

kān cit abhyavadat premṇā kaiḥ cit api abhivāditaḥ
39. He honored some guests like a preceptor (guru) and others like friends. He addressed some with affection, while others, in turn, offered him greetings.
