महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-213, verse-63

दयितो वासुदेवस्य बाल्यात्प्रभृति चाभवत् ।
पितॄणां चैव सर्वेषां प्रजानामिव चन्द्रमाः ॥६३॥
63. dayito vāsudevasya bālyātprabhṛti cābhavat ,
pitṝṇāṁ caiva sarveṣāṁ prajānāmiva candramāḥ.
63. dayitaḥ vāsudevasya bālyāt prabhṛti ca abhavat
pitṝṇām ca eva sarveṣām prajānām iva candramāḥ
63. And he (Abhimanyu) became dear to Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa) from childhood (bālyāt prabhṛti). Indeed, he was like the moon (candramāḥ) to all the ancestors and to all people (prajānām).
