When the lord of the astrological period (daśā) is debilitated (nīca), situated in an enemy's sign, in the 8th house, or in the 6th house, or in the 7th (adri) or 8th (purandhraka) house from the daśā lord itself, then there will be death of one's wife and children, great suffering, and destruction of land.
