लग्नाधिपेन संयुक्ते राजाऽनुग्रहवैभवम् ।
लक्ष्मीकटोक्षचिह्नानि नष्टराज्यार्थलाभकृत् ॥२॥

2. When (Mars is) conjoined with the lord of the ascendant (lagna), it brings the grandeur of royal favor (rāja-anugraha) and prosperity. There are signs of the favorable glance of Lakshmi (Lakṣmī), and it causes the recovery of lost kingdom and wealth.
