मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-15, verse-74

तद् गच्छ त्वं नृपश्रेष्ठ तद्भाक्तुममरालयम् ।
एतेऽपि पापं नरके क्षपयन्तु स्वकर्मजम् ॥७४॥
74. tad gaccha tvaṃ nṛpaśreṣṭha tadbhāktumamarālayam .
ete'pi pāpaṃ narake kṣapayantu svakarmajam.
74. tat gaccha tvam nṛpaśreṣṭha tat bhoktum amarālayam
ete api pāpam narake kṣapayantu svakarmajam
74. Therefore, O best among kings, you should go to the abode of the gods to enjoy that [merit]. Let these [others] also exhaust in hell the sin born of their own actions (karma).
