मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-15, verse-64

क्षुत्पिपासाभवं दुः खं यच्च मूर्च्छाप्रदं महत् ।
एतेषां त्राणदानन्तु मन्ये स्वर्गसुखात् परम् ॥६४॥
64. kṣutpipāsābhavaṃ duḥ khaṃ yacca mūrcchāpradaṃ mahat .
eteṣāṃ trāṇadānantu manye svargasukhāt param.
64. kṣutpipāsābhavam duḥkham yat ca mūrcchāpradam
mahat eteṣām trāṇadānam tu manye svargasukhāt param
64. I consider granting relief from the great suffering that arises from hunger and thirst and causes unconsciousness to be superior to the happiness of heaven.
