हृते कांस्ये च हारीतः कपोतो रुप्यभाजने ।
हृत्वा तु काञ्चनं भाण्डं कृमियोनौ प्रजायते ॥२६॥

26. hṛte kāṃsye ca hārītaḥ kapoto rupyabhājane .
hṛtvā tu kāñcanaṃ bhāṇḍaṃ kṛmiyonau prajāyate.

26.
One who steals bronze becomes a green pigeon. One who steals a silver vessel becomes a pigeon. But having stolen a golden vessel, one is born in the species of worms.
