मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-15, verse-59

राजोवाच ।
तस्मान्न तावद्यास्यामि यावदेते सुदुः खिताः ।
मत्सन्निधानात् सुखिनो भवन्ति नरकौकसः ॥५९॥
59. rājovāca .
tasmānna tāvadyāsyāmi yāvadete suduḥ khitāḥ .
matsannidhānāt sukhino bhavanti narakaukasaḥ.
59. rājā uvāca tasmāt na tāvat yāsyāmi yāvat ete su-duḥkhitāḥ
mat sannidhānāt sukhinaḥ bhavanti naraka-okasaḥ
59. The king said: 'Therefore, I will not go until these extremely distressed residents of hell become happy because of my presence.'
