मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-15, verse-21

तिलपिण्याकसंमिश्रमन्नं हृत्वा तु मूषिकः ।
घृतं हृत्वा च नकुलः काको मद्गुरजामिषम् ॥२१॥
21. tilapiṇyākasaṃmiśramannaṃ hṛtvā tu mūṣikaḥ .
ghṛtaṃ hṛtvā ca nakulaḥ kāko madgurajāmiṣam.
21. tilapiṇyākasaṃmiśram annam hṛtvā tu mūṣikaḥ |
ghṛtam hṛtvā ca nakulaḥ kākaḥ madgurajāmiṣam
21. However, one who steals food mixed with sesame oil-cake is reborn as a mouse. One who steals ghee becomes a mongoose. And a crow is born from stealing mudgura fish-meat.
