मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-15, verse-63

एतेषां सन्निकर्षात् तु यद्यग्निपरितापजम् ।
तथोग्रगन्धजं वापि दुः खं नरकसम्भवम् ॥६३॥
63. eteṣāṃ sannikarṣāt tu yadyagniparitāpajam .
tathogragandhajaṃ vāpi duḥ khaṃ narakasambhavam.
63. eteṣām sannikarṣāt tu yadi agniparitāpajam tathā
ugragandhajam vā api duḥkham narakasambhavam
63. But if, due to the proximity of these (unmentioned things), there arises suffering caused by intense heat (like fire) or similarly, suffering caused by a foul odor, then that misery is indeed born of hell (naraka).
