मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-15, verse-4

भ्रातुः पत्न्यवमन्ता च कपोतत्वं प्रपद्यते ।
तामेव पीडयित्वा तु कच्छपत्वं प्रपद्यते ॥४॥
4. bhrātuḥ patnyavamantā ca kapotatvaṃ prapadyate .
tāmeva pīḍayitvā tu kacchapatvaṃ prapadyate.

tām eva pīḍayitvā tu kacchapatvam prapadyate
4. A brother's wife who shows disrespect (to her husband or family) attains the state of a pigeon. However, a person who oppresses that very (sister-in-law) is reborn as a tortoise.
