महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-34, verse-8

भवतः प्रियमित्येवं महद्व्यसनमीदृशम् ।
धर्मकामे प्रतीतस्य प्रतिपन्नाः स्म भारत ॥८॥
8. bhavataḥ priyamityevaṁ mahadvyasanamīdṛśam ,
dharmakāme pratītasya pratipannāḥ sma bhārata.

dharmakāme pratītasya pratipannāḥ sma bhārata
8. O Bhārata, we have submitted to such a great calamity as this, all because we believed it was pleasing to you, who are (said to be) devoted to both righteous conduct (dharma) and worldly desires.
