योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-109, verse-28

शास्त्रमायतनं दासः सर्वम भर्तुः कुलाङ्गनाः ।
सर्वदा सर्वयत्नेन पूजनीयाः कुलाङ्गनाः ॥ २८ ॥

28. bhartuḥ kulāṅganāḥ śāstram āyatanam dāsaḥ sarvam.
kulāṅganāḥ sarvadā sarvayatnena pūjanīyāḥ.
28. For the husband, a virtuous wife (kulāṅganā) is everything: she is like scripture (śāstram), a sanctuary (āyatanam), and a servant (dāsaḥ). Therefore, virtuous wives (kulāṅganāḥ) should always be honored with every effort.
