योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-109, verse-26

पतितं व्यवसायिन्यस्तारयन्ति कुलस्त्रियः ।
शास्त्रार्थगुरुमन्त्रादि तथा नोत्तारणक्षमम् ॥ २६ ॥
patitaṃ vyavasāyinyastārayanti kulastriyaḥ ,
śāstrārthagurumantrādi tathā nottāraṇakṣamam 26
26. patitam vyavasāyinyaḥ tārayanti kulastriyaḥ
śāstrārthagurumantrādi tathā na uttāraṇakṣamam
26. vyavasāyinyaḥ kulastriyaḥ patitam tārayanti
tathā śāstrārthagurumantrādi na uttāraṇakṣamam
26. Resolute and virtuous wives (kulastrī) rescue a fallen man. Scriptures, their meanings, spiritual teachers (guru), sacred incantations (mantra), and similar things are not capable of saving [him] in the same way.
