योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-2, chapter-13, verse-45

अतो मनोजयश्चिन्त्यः शमसंतोषसाधनः ।
अनन्तसमसंयोगस्तस्मादानन्द आप्यते ॥ ४५ ॥
ato manojayaścintyaḥ śamasaṃtoṣasādhanaḥ ,
anantasamasaṃyogastasmādānanda āpyate 45
45. ataḥ manaḥ-jayaḥ cintyaḥ śama-santoṣa-sādhanaḥ
| ananta-sama-saṃyogaḥ tasmāt ānandaḥ āpyate ||
45. ataḥ manaḥ-jayaḥ śama-santoṣa-sādhanaḥ cintyaḥ
tasmāt ananta-sama-saṃyogaḥ ānandaḥ āpyate
45. Therefore, the conquest of the mind (mano-jaya) should be contemplated, as it is the means to tranquility (śama) and contentment (santoṣa). From that [conquest], an infinite, balanced union is achieved, and thereby, bliss (ānanda) is obtained.
