मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-75, verse-72

तेषां देवगणानान्तु चतुर्णामपि चेश्चरः ।
नाम्ना विभुरभूदिन्द्रः शतयज्ञोपलक्षकः ॥७२॥
72. teṣāṃ devagaṇānāntu caturṇāmapi ceścaraḥ .
nāmnā vibhurabhūdindraḥ śatayajñopalakṣakaḥ.
72. teṣām devagaṇānām tu caturṇām api ca īśvaraḥ
nāmnā vibhuḥ abhūt indraḥ śatayajñopalakṣakaḥ
72. And the lord (īśvara) of those four groups of deities was Vibhu by name, who became Indra (indra), identified by a hundred ritual Vedic rituals (yajña).
