तपस्वी यदि मे तातस्तत्किमृक्षमिदं दिवि ।
समारोप्य विवाहो मे तदृक्षे क्रियते न तु ॥६१॥

tapasvī yadi me tātastatkimṛkṣamidaṃ divi .
samāropya vivāho me tadṛkṣe kriyate na tu.

kanyā uvāca tapasvī yadi me tātaḥ tat kim ṛkṣam idam
divi samāropya vivāhaḥ me tat ṛkṣe kriyate na tu

The girl said, "If my father is an ascetic (tapasvī), then what is this constellation (ṛkṣa) in the sky? My marriage is being performed by associating it with that constellation, and not otherwise."
