मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-75, verse-14

ऋतवागुवाच ।
सुव्रतेन पुरा वेदा गृहीता विधिवन्मया ।
समप्य वेदान् विधिवत् कृतो दारपरिग्रहः ॥१४॥
14. ṛtavāguvāca .
suvratena purā vedā gṛhītā vidhivanmayā .
samapya vedān vidhivat kṛto dāraparigrahaḥ.
14. ṛtavāk uvāca suvratena purā vedāḥ gṛhītāḥ vidhivat
mayā samapya vedān vidhivat kṛtaḥ dāraparigrahaḥ
14. Ṛtavāk said: "In the past, I properly learned the Vedas with strict discipline (suvrata). After properly completing my Vedic studies, I entered into marriage (dāraparigraha)."
