मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-75, verse-28

एवं चिन्तयतस्तस्य ययौ कालो महान् मुने ।
न चाससाद सदृशं वरं तस्या महामुनिः ॥२८॥
28. evaṃ cintayatastasya yayau kālo mahān mune .
na cāsasāda sadṛśaṃ varaṃ tasyā mahāmuniḥ.
28. evam cintayataḥ tasya yayau kālaḥ mahān mune
na ca asasāda sadṛśam varam tasyāḥ mahāmuniḥ
28. O sage (muni), as he pondered in this way, a long time passed. The great sage did not find a suitable husband for her.
