मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-75, verse-60

ऋषिरुवाच ।
ब्रह्मबन्धोः सुता न त्वं बाले नैव तपस्विनः ।
सुता त्वं मम यो देवान् कर्तुमन्यान् समुत्सहे ॥६०॥
60. ṛṣiruvāca .
brahmabandhoḥ sutā na tvaṃ bāle naiva tapasvinaḥ .
sutā tvaṃ mama yo devān kartumanyān samutsahe.
60. ṛṣiḥ uvāca | brahmabandhoḥ sutā na tvam bāle na eva
tapasvinaḥ | sutā tvam mama yaḥ devān kartum anyān samutsahe
60. The sage said: "O child, you are not the daughter of a nominal brahmin (brahmabandhu), nor indeed of merely an ascetic (tapasvin). You are my daughter, I who am capable of creating other gods."
