मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-75, verse-48

राजोवाच ।
सत्यमुक्तं मया किन्तु भावो दुष्टो न मे मुने ।
नात्र कोपं भवान् कर्तुमर्हत्यस्मासु याचितः ॥४८॥
48. rājovāca .
satyamuktaṃ mayā kintu bhāvo duṣṭo na me mune .
nātra kopaṃ bhavān kartumarhatyasmāsu yācitaḥ.
48. rājaḥ uvāca satyam uktam mayā kintu bhāvaḥ duṣṭaḥ na me
mune na atra kopam bhavān kartum arhati asmāsu yācitaḥ
48. The King said: 'O sage (mune), what I said is true, but my intention (bhāva) is not malicious. You, having been entreated [by me], ought not to become angry with us in this matter.'
