मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-75, verse-49

ऋषिरुवाच ।
तत्त्वं ब्रवीषि भूपाल न भावस्तव दूषितः ।
व्याजहार भवानेतद्वह्निना नृप चोदितः ॥४९॥
49. ṛṣiruvāca .
tattvaṃ bravīṣi bhūpāla na bhāvastava dūṣitaḥ .
vyājahāra bhavānetadvahninā nṛpa coditaḥ.
49. ṛṣiḥ uvāca .
tattvam bravīṣi bhūpāla na bhāvaḥ tava dūṣitaḥ .
vyājahāra bhavān etat vahninā nṛpa coditaḥ
49. The sage said, 'O King, you speak the truth; your sentiment is not corrupted. You have said this, O King, because you were prompted by the fire god.'
