मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
अग्निसालां गतो विप्रस्तच्छ्रुत्वा तस्य भाषितम् ।
प्रियेत्यामन्त्रणञ्चैव निश्चक्राम त्वरान्वितः ॥३५॥

35. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
agnisālāṃ gato viprastacchrutvā tasya bhāṣitam .
priyetyāmantraṇañcaiva niścakrāma tvarānvitaḥ.

Markaṇḍeya said, "The brahmin (vipraḥ) had gone to the fire-hall. Having heard his words and also the address 'O dear one!' (priye iti), he (the sage) departed in a hurry."
