मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-106, verse-62

ब्राह्मणा ऊचुः ।
देवदानवयक्षाणां ग्रहाणां ज्योतिषामपि ।
तेजसाभ्यधिकं देवं व्रजाम शरणं रविम् ॥६२॥
62. brāhmaṇā ūcuḥ .
devadānavayakṣāṇāṃ grahāṇāṃ jyotiṣāmapi .
tejasābhyadhikaṃ devaṃ vrajāma śaraṇaṃ ravim.
62. brāhmaṇāḥ ūcuḥ devadānavayakṣāṇām grahāṇām jyotiṣām
api tejasā abhyadhikam devam vrajāma śaraṇam ravim
62. The Brāhmaṇas said: 'We seek refuge in Ravi, the sun god, who is superior in splendor to the gods, dānavas, yakṣas, planets, and even all other celestial bodies.'
