मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-106, verse-30

सर्वे यास्यामहे भूप यदि याति भवान्वनम् ।
ततोऽशेषक्रियाहानिः सर्वपृथ्वीनिवासिनाम् ॥३०॥
30. sarve yāsyāmahe bhūpa yadi yāti bhavānvanam .
tato'śeṣakriyāhāniḥ sarvapṛthvīnivāsinām.

tataḥ aśeṣakriyāhāniḥ sarvapṛthvinivāsinām
30. O king, if you go to the forest, all of us will follow. Consequently, there will be a complete cessation of all religious rites and activities for all the inhabitants of the earth.
