मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-106, verse-15

बहुशः पृच्छतस्तस्य भूभृतः सा सुमध्यमा ।
( न किञ्चिदिति होवाच सा भूयो राज्यवर्धनम् ।
किमेतदिति पप्रच्छ मानिनीं पार्थिवः पुनः ।
बहुशः प्रेरिता तेन सा भर्त्रा तत्र भामिनी ) दर्शयामास पलितं केशभारान्तरोद्भवम् ॥१५॥
15. bahuśaḥ pṛcchatastasya bhūbhṛtaḥ sā sumadhyamā .
( na kiñciditi hovāca sā bhūyo rājyavardhanam .
kimetaditi papraccha māninīṃ pārthivaḥ punaḥ .
bahuśaḥ preritā tena sā bhartrā tatra bhāminī ) darśayāmāsa palitaṃ keśabhārāntarodbhavam.
15. bahuśaḥ pṛcchataḥ tasya bhūbhṛtaḥ sā sumadhyamā

15. Despite the king (bhūbhṛt) asking her repeatedly, she, the slender-waisted woman, eventually showed him the grey hair that had sprung from within her abundant tresses.
