ऊचुश्च तं महीपालं दैवज्ञा बाष्पगद्गदम् ।
ज्ञानानि नः प्रणष्टानि श्रुत्वैतत्ते वचो नृप ॥४०॥

And the astrologers, their voices choked with tears, spoke to that king (mahīpāla): 'O King (nṛpa), our knowledge has been destroyed upon hearing these words of yours!'
