मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-106, verse-25

एवं मत्पूर्वजैर्भद्रे कृतं त्वत्पूर्वजैश्च यत् ।
अतो न तेऽश्रुपातस्य किञ्चित्पश्यामि कारणम् ॥२५॥
25. evaṃ matpūrvajairbhadre kṛtaṃ tvatpūrvajaiśca yat .
ato na te'śrupātasya kiñcitpaśyāmi kāraṇam.
25. evam matpūrvajaiḥ bhadre kṛtam tvatpūrvajaiḥ ca
yat ataḥ na te aśrupātasya kiñcit paśyāmi kāraṇam
25. O gentle one, what was accomplished by my ancestors, and also by your ancestors, (is similar to this situation). Therefore, I see no cause for your tears.
