मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-106, verse-34

राजोवाच ।
सप्त वर्षसहस्राणि मयेयं पालिता मही ।
इदानीं वनवासस्य मम कालोऽयमागतः ॥३४॥
34. rājovāca .
sapta varṣasahasrāṇi mayeyaṃ pālitā mahī .
idānīṃ vanavāsasya mama kālo'yamāgataḥ.
34. rājā uvāca sapta varṣasahasrāṇi mayā iyam pālitā
mahī idānīm vanavāsasya mama kālaḥ ayam āgataḥ
34. The king said: "This earth (mahī) has been protected by me for seven thousand years. Now, this time for my dwelling in the forest (vanavāsa) has arrived."
